What if I need to contact a local embassy for help?
If you have access to the Internet on your travels, a Web site such as www.embassyworld.com can give you the contact details of every embassy, high commission and consulate in the world. Organised travellers will tell you it's a good idea to jot down the address and phone number of the relevant local embassy before departing on your trip.
